On November 12, 2017 police established that members of the PEI Woodbridge Hells Angels hangaround club had been promoted to "Prospect" status with the Hells Angels. Police observed one of the members of this club wearing a "PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND" bottom rocker on the back of their vest, and a "PROSPECT" patch and "CHARLOTTETOWN" chapter patch on the front of their vest. The Hells Angels now have a "Prospect" chapter in Prince Edward Island. The next step forward for this group will be to obtain their status as full patch members of the Hells Angels. This is a significant development for Prince Edward Island.

The Hells Angels have a long history of violence and drug trafficking in Canada and have been declared a criminal organization by the courts in the past. Police in PEI have conducted a number of enforcement actions against this group since April 2017 and will be continuing to closely monitor their activities and to undertake enforcement actions where applicable.

Police are asking the public to continue to do their part to assist police in PEI in targeting organized crime groups involved in illegal activities. This is your island. Please call your area police force or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) with any information.
